What Is a Smile Makeover?
A smile makeover is a cosmetic dentistry process aimed at improving the appearance of one’s smile. Each smile makeover treatment plan is uniquely designed to meet the individual needs and goals of the patient. The ultimate focus is on enhancing both dental health and smile aesthetics by addressing issues like chips, gaps, cracks, stains, missing or damaged teeth, misalignment, and more.
A digital smile makeover makes use of the latest advancements in dental technology to achieve the most beautiful, natural-looking results. Dr. Tadros has invested in state-of-the-art digital imaging and modeling platforms to help patients gain a better understanding of what to expect from their smile makeover. She also utilizes 3D printing and CAD/CAM technology to create tooth restorations on-site, which makes the entire process more efficient and customizable.
What Procedures Are Included in a Smile Makeover?
Each smile makeover plan is designed to address a patient’s individual concerns, and the specific procedures included will differ as a result. However, some of the most common treatments that Dr. Tadros performs include:
During your consultation with Dr. Tadros, she can use advanced digital imaging technology to help you preview the results of different treatment options and provide you with a comprehensive price breakdown so you can make the most confident and informed decision.
What Can I Expect From the Digital Smile Makeover Process?
During your smile makeover consultation, Dr. Tadros will take high resolution photos of your face and smile and 3D scans of your teeth, known as an intraoral 3D scan. Using these images, she can then create a three-dimensional model with different options for your results. For example, she may create models with different types of veneers so you can truly see the difference and make an informed decision. In many cases, this can be completed chairside, meaning that you can see the whole process in action.
Once you have reviewed these digital images, Dr. Tadros will use one of our three 3D printers to create models within about 30 minutes. This workflow allows you to view trials of a new smile prior to getting started on treatment as well as show predictable simulations of straightening teeth or going through aligner therapy like Invisalign.
Once a customized treatment plan has been created, Dr. Tadros can explain the specifics of what to expect from the procedure(s) included.
How Can I Preview My Smile Makeover Results?
Using cutting-edge 3D imaging techniques, Dr. Tadros can create a digital model of your face and smile. Each of our dental suites is equipped with chairside computer screens on which Dr. Tadros can show you simulations featuring different treatment options. She can also use our 3D printer to create mock-ups of things like veneers, which you can then “try on” in the office to gain a better understanding of what the final restoration will look like. Dr. Tadros is committed to providing top-quality cosmetic dentistry for her patients, and she makes your comfort and satisfaction a priority. By offering different ways to preview smile makeover results, she hopes to empower her patients to approach the treatment process with confidence.
